What is war?
For which we have come this far.
No one realizes the lives that are lost,
Or the true nature of its cost.
A force that takes without compromise,
Leaving a void where no one fits.
But the pain is only sung by the fighter,
And the truth only gets bitter and bitter.
Where they whisper prayers to live, but then -
Step in the bloodbath so the rest of us can.
So why do we inspire such a fire?
Why do we feed this burning desire?
We were never qualified to experience their pain,
So, why shouldn't we hold back the rain -
Of our own words, and mourn for the ones we lost?
And pray not to lose anyone else at any cost.
Pay tribute to the brave who left us here,
And sing the hymns of those who conquered fear.
Do not agitate; you are not qualified.
You are not among the ones who have even tried.
So let your anger and disillusionment rest in peace,
And let us work so that all wars may cease.
What is war?
For which we have come this far.
Let's turn around and proceed no further.
